The story of The Bell stretches back to 1560 when it was a coaching inn. We have smoothed out the rougher edges but preserved the wonderful imperfections that somehow make it perfect. First and foremost we are a Public House, with some rather wonderful rooms, a home from home for everyone and we would be delighted to have your company.

We believe in engaging with nature, cherishing the rich and varied bounty that each season brings. Blending three ingredients – people, produce and place – we create uncomplicated, un-rushed food in a style of our own.
And now we rest
There is a story to each of the seven quirky hotel bedrooms and four fairytale lodges set in a garden of whimsy. Every room is unique, lavished with love and furnished with thought in every detail.
